Bill Maiden
Chairman
Bill has built a successful career helping advise and manage both SMEs and some of Australia’s leading blue-chip businesses. He founded More Than Strata with the belief that Owners Corporations deserved to be managed like businesses because they are businesses.
More Than Strata offers the leading thinking, tools and techniques that Bill gained over 20 years working as a strategy and management consultant with global technology consultancy Accenture, as a private equity investor with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group and across a range of senior management roles. Bill believes that purpose-led Strata Committees, enabled by committed strata managers equipped with right tools and techniques, powerful change can be achieved and the potential of the strata community can be fulfilled. Bill is learning to play the electric guitar and is working on a repertoire of great 80’s rock.
Samantha Turnbull
Licensee In Charge
With over 25 years in the strata management industry, Samantha brings a wealth of expertise to More Than Strata as Licensee in Charge and Senior Strata Manager. Recognised for her dedication, Samantha was nominated for the “Senior Strata Manager of the Year” in 2017 and the “Small Strata Company of the Year” in 2018 by the Strata Community Association.
Samantha’s experience spans a diverse range of schemes, from intimate two-lot residential properties to expansive 200+ lot mixed-use developments. She also has significant experience managing new developments particularly those facing defects and rectification works, which can be complex and costly.
Sam stays up to date with changes in the legislation and ensures that every Strata Scheme under her guidance benefits from the most current knowledge. However, Sam acknowledges it’s not just the content knowledge that matters but how you work with people that gets success.
Clear, effective communication as the foundation of harmonious living is a core principle that drives the success of More Than Strata. Above all, Samantha finds the cultivation of long-lasting, fulfilling relationships with Committees, Owners, Agents, and Contractors the most rewarding aspect of her job.
